Every time I went to Museumplein – the big square in the center of town where you will find both the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum – people were climbing all over the I amsterdam letters, posing for photos and saying “I am Amsterdam in a variety of accents. The positioning of the letters in front of the Rijksmuseum couldn’t be better in terms of a photo opp, either.
