Election day

in Stockholm,Travels

For the first time, I was able to vote here in Sweden. Robert and I rode our bikes to our local polling station and cast our votes in the blue landstinget and white Stockholms kommun or county council and municipality elections. As we made our way in, the bigger parties handed us their literature, all of them conveniently adorned with sashes claiming their party affiliation.

Just as I would have expected, it was all very orderly and easy. I felt rather proud of myself for participating. And now I am curious to see who won – the polls are open until 8.
