South African lions

Going on safari in the Timbavati, just adjacent to Kruger National Park, was one of my best trips ever. These two young lions looked peaceful enough by the water, but they were soon on the prowl after a buffalo.

On Saturday, it was gray and rainy and Robert and I spent the better part of a morning talking about where we want to travel to next, covering continents, countries and cities in a systematic fashion. Because while we have traveled so very much, there’s still so much that I still want to see, from Viet Nam and Angor Wat to Buenos Aires and Belize, Kenya and Cairo, Mumbai, Japan and Jordan. I want to stay in a house boat in Kashmir, sail amongst the Greek Islands and the Whitsundays, and boat the Amazon. Then there’s hiking in Tibet and Mount Kilimanjaro. And this is all just the tip of the iceberg.

I have to say that there are not too many places that I would not be willing to travel to. I just need a lot more money and time.

Heading out for our final day of safari.
