The sun is shining at last. Both yesterday and today, we are having amazingly sunny days, the kind that make you feel good to be alive. It’s been a while since we had this kind of weather, so yesterday we bundled up in our winter gear and headed out for a long walk. I don’t think I was alone in needing the sun – there were a lot of people out walking and also just standing in the sun, basking in the rays.
We walked from Södermalm to Gamla Stan and then on to Blasieholmen and Skeppsholmen and finally on to Östermalm. We had a hot dog at the korvstånd by the ferry to Djurgården and then a late lunch at the Moderna cafe overlooking Strandvägen. By the time we headed home, the sun was set and the streets were quiet. It felt good to be out, good to be alive.

What an amazing photograph. Do you reckon you could keep it like this in March?
Thanks. I will let Robert know! As for the weather, it has already gone back to gray, I am sorry to say. But I am sure it will be LOVELY here in March. I hope that didn’t sound too sarcastic….
That blog just made me cry, literally. It’s days like you’ve just experienced Sandra that made Stockholm the most beautiful city in the world to me. That and the first snowfall. I’d walk anywhere in the first snowfall. I miss my korv med bröd. …Stockholmare living in Sydney…
Thank you for your kind words. It was a beautiful day and I was so glad to be here and outside, enjoying the sunshine. And I have to say that the korv med brod here are better than anywhere. All that said, I do think Sydney is also one of the most gorgeous cities in the world!
