It’s cold out there

Brrrrrr. It has been mighty cold here in Stockholm land. Yesterday was crazy cold thanks to a bitter wind. But Robert and I bundled up and went out for a while anyway. The streets were almost deserted on a Saturday afternoon, as was the subway. Even at Stureplan, there were just a few people out and braving the weather.

It did not take long before the cold began to actually become painful, so we only stayed outside for about an hour before heading back in for a drink at the Southside Pub to warm up.

The umbrella tables at Mosebacke actually look a bit like Christmas trees, don't they?

Today it was still cold – right now it is -17C – but it was not as windy and the sun was out for a while, so it was easier to be outside. As a result, there were a lot more people around. We walked up to Mosebacke and checked out the view over the Baltic from there. Their terrace is one of our favorite places to have a beer in the summer, but it was not a spot to linger in today, even with the sunshine. So instead we made our way down to Hermans and had their vegetarian brunch – yum.
