Yum. Wagamama is finally in town. I first tried the Asian noodle restaurant years ago in London. And when I discovered a location in Copenhagen in Copenhagen three years ago, I was happy. But also jealous since we didn’t have a location here. In October, Wagamama opened in Stockholm and allowed me to set aside my Copenhagen envy.
Wagamama is nothing fancy. It’s a chain, in fact. But it does offer up quick and healthy Asian meals of the sort you can’t usually find here. I love the ramen noodle bowls filled with fresh vegies. And the fresh-squeezed juice combinations are so very tasty. Service is also fast and friendly. It’s a good all-around combo for lunch or dinner on the go.

again, this post is making me hungry!
I’ve eaten at Wagamama maybe twice in my life. It’s okay, but welcome. The ONE thing I did miss in my two visits to Stockholm was food from Asia.
We have Wagamama’s in Australia too, and although they’re not my first choice when it comes to eating out, it is a good place to go with friends. As you say, service tends to be fast and friendly (good on them for being consistent in at least three countries!), and the dining style lends a nice atmosphere. My partner especially likes the edamame beans, for some strange reason!
Oh, speaking of edamame beans, have you seen “Mameshiba?” You have to have a look at some of their little videos! They may not make any sense, but they make me laugh 🙂
Hi Christian,
Wagamama isn’t my first choice either, but I love having the option for something fast and healthy. As for edamame, I am also a HUGE fan. Definitely one of my favorite snacks.
James,
You are exactly right. Good cheap Asian is so prevalent in Australia and just not easy to find here. Hence my happiness over Wagamama. I guess I am hard up for good Asian. You take your thrills where you can, I suppose!
