I finally had lunch at Urban Deli today. This place had been on my list to check out since it opened in September, so I was curious. Like its name, it truly is an urban deli and it felt like New York to me. There is a small grocery with a good looking selection of meats, cheeses, vegetables and specialty foods from not just Sweden, but around the world.. You can take home soups, sandwiches, noodles and more, plus there are bags that contain the ingredients and recipe for a dinner for four. While that may be an old American concept, the readymade stuff is not so common here. The cafe itself has both bar and table seating and is loud and lively, looking like an old warehouse, complete with roughed up walls. Service is casual and friendly. It’s a perfect spot for a casual lunch or just to hang out for fika.

Such a great place! And congratulations for your blog, it’s been very helpful to me. I’m from Brazil, and I’m moving to Stockholm in April. Your blog is a good way to know the city in advance. Btw, there are some brazilian fruits in that picture, nice to see them!
Rodrigo, Thanks for the compliment and for reading the blog. I’m glad to help. Good luck with your move!
