Winter fashion in Stockholm

Donning the winter snow uniform of sweater and jeans tucked into snow boots was getting old. I blame it on the weather – cold temperatures combined with lots of snow for the last two months have meant that it has  just not been easy to wear nice shoes and clothes. I froze if I did not bundle up in layers and I would fall without the snow boots which were just getting dirty in all the snow muck anyway. But even so, I was feeling like a fashion victim.

Today the snow was shining and the temperature was a bit warmer, so I ventured out in a sweater dress and regular boots. It may not sound like a giant leap forward in fashion, but it felt like one, especially since I was risking a nasty fall by not wearing the heavy tread snow boots. I did slide a few times, but am happy  to report that I did not go down. It felt so good to get out of the snow boots and jeans, even if my leather boots did get a bit mucked up. They were my old boots anyway.
