Snow, snow, snow

in Stockholm weather,Travels

By my unofficial estimate based on how deep the snow is while I stand in it in my boots, we have over 35 cm of snow on the ground. Since mid November, it has snowed at least a little almost every day. Rather than fight it, we made snow angels yesterday. By “we” I mean me and some friend’s kids, aged 5 and 3. It was good fun.

In contrast, we just talked to Robert’s Dad in Australia where it is summer. They are having the same amount of rain in New South Wales as we have snow.

My only worry for us is whether we will be able to fly home for Christmas tomorrow. We lay over in Paris on the way to Cincinnati and just now, the runways at Charles de Gaulle are closed. There could be worse places to be stuck.

Worse places to be stuck? I am not sure. Check my Friend Nina’s blog
http://ninacamic.blogspot.com/ she and her daughter have been stuck in Paris AND Berlin. Nasty weather in Europe.

Tom: Thanks for sharing. As for us, we are stuck at Arlanda Airport thanks to the snow in Paris.
