A roadblock of sheep.

Every track that we planned on taking into the outback has been closed due to flooding. It’s feeling like the country has been hit with a huge weather system unlike any that has been seen in quite some time. Apparently, there is more rain at Uluru/Ayres Rock than has been seen in a century. So we keep changing our plans, trying to figure out what our path into the outback will be this time.

As we drove into Warren Shire today, we were stopped by sheep being herded across the road. The farmer moving them along was on a motorcycle. And his sheep herding dog sat in a plastic milk crate on the back of the bike.

That image evokes a variety of good memories. I hope you are enjoying your time with Robert’s family. Have a great time in the outback!
