And the grapevines.

On the way to visit Robert’s family, we stopped in Murrumbateman for a wine tasting in the Hilltops region at Clonakilla. We’ve been at this small family winery before and have enjoyed it, so it was great to stop again. We were not disappointed. Clonakilla has been winning lots of awards lately. Even so, the tasting cellar is small and understated. Not fancy at all. The sommelier was chatty and informative. And the wines were excellent. My favortites were the Riesling and the Viognier. And the absolute best in my humble opinion were the O’Riada Shiraz and the Shiraz Viognier. And what did we buy? The Riesling and and O’Riada. Very nice.
