We’d been working inside all day yesterday, so about 9 last night, we went out for a walk. Robert felt the first snowflakes, then I noticed them too. Perversely, we laughed about how angry the white stuff was going to make our fellow Stockholmers.
As the snow came down, it was sparkling in the street lights and brought on that hush that is so typical of a snowfall. By the time we got back home, the ground was covered. Again. And we had just gotten a clean path across our courtyard over the weekend.
The snow looks pretty in the morning sunlight. And at least it disguises all the black stuff that has coated the remaining snow piles in town. By the way, I pulled my snow boots back out.

I thought you might like to compare your experiences of royal wedding china with those of another blogger, a compatriot of yours who lives not far from me in the UK.

She also mentions Wagamamma – we have one in many of our towns, but then we do have an asian restaurant of some sort in every town and village in the UK!
I love your blog, by the way.
Hi Jane,
Thanks for the compliment and for the UK blog suggestion. I loved the Kate china plate! I’m sure wedding fever is hitting there big time.
As for the Asian, I wish we had more good options!
Cheers,
Sandra
Sandy, your account of the weather reminds me of a horse race:
… and Spring makes a strong surge along the rail … but wait! Here’s Winter passing on the outside to retake the lead … and it’s Winter by a nose!
Ha Bryn, You are a very clever girl. And I must say, winter has been winning big time for the last few days. It’s been cold!
