For days, we’ve been hearing that a big snowstorm is headed our way on Tuesday. As anyone who knows me knows, I do love snow. Normally, I would be happy to have a bit of snow. But we are scheduled to leave for Stockholm late afternoon on Tuesday, right in the middle of the “winter storm warning” that includes 4-6 inches of snow. So what that means to me is that I am starting to get nervous. Thanks to snow, what was scheduled to be 13 hours of travel on the way here turned into 50 hours on the go and 11 days without our suitcases. Needless to say, I am not looking forward to another bout of travel chaos!
Impending snowstorm

Oof, I’d be worried, too. The US is even more confused by snow than Europe!
Antropologa, Yes, I am having visions of long journeys and too much time in airports…ugh!
Bad luck huh!!!!!!!!! 11 days…. crazy stuff!!!!!!! So you stayed quite a while, good for you!
11 days thats good, your baggage insurance will give you money to buy a whole new closet of clothes, my Amex baggage delay insurance will give me 500€ after 48 h, 11 days must be a fortune 🙂
Roger, Wow, that’s a lot! It will be interesting to see how much the airline forks over.
Annelie, It was quite a wait for the bags. Frustrating!
For the insurance to cover it you need to present receipts from when the bags were lost though, so now is too late to shop.
Roger, We did hand over our receipts to the airline and are now waiting to see what they will cover.
