Yesterday, we went to a skördefest or harvest festival. It felt like autumn – sunny skies but with a enough of a chill that you needed a jacket – so celebrating the harvest seemed like the right thing to do. The festival was held at the Södra Årstalunden garden colony on Södermalm in the middle of all the charming plots and overlooking a bay of Lake Mälaren. Robert and I ate apple cobbler and raspberry cake at the outdoor cafe, sampled some of the apple juices and sauces that were being made and bought some vegetables and flowers.

It doesn’t get much better than this on a September Saturday.

Oh, I was actually going to go to this, shame I missed it. I love days like that! P.S Looking over the water and that’s our place… a lovely area of Stockers…

Hi Lou Lou: This was a fun event. It felt very small towny somehow. And that’s very cool that you live across from there. Too bad that I didn’t get to meet you. We will have to plan for another time.
