freshly picked Swedish vegetables

Freshly picked vegetables from Nici's garden. This and all following photos by me.

Last week, I had dinner at my friend Nici’s house. She gathered most of the ingredients from her garden, including lettuce, carrots, green beans, chives and some herbs. The beans were sauted in olive oil and served with bacon and the salad was a delicious mix of flavors with capers on top. Homemade naan completed the meal. It was simple. And delicious.

Good times with a good friend. What could be better?

I remember her lovely garden from another visit! No carrotfly – she is lucky.

Oh yum! Your food posts always set my mouth watering, and those that take place at your or your friends’ homes always remind me how special similar experiences I have with my own friends are.

Those views aren’t bad either :-p

Christian, thanks! Hanging out with my friends and having a good meal is definitely one of my favorite things to do.
