You’re telling me there’s no internet here?

Not being able to post for the last 10 days has been an exercise in patience for me. We’ve been on the road and staying in hotels either without an internet connection or else poor internet connections and also at relatives’ homes without internet. Very frustrating. It also shows me just how well Scandinavia is connected and just how poorly Australia is connected! I can be miles from anywhere in the Swedish archipelago and still have an internet connection. But I can be fairly close to the city in Oz and not have any bars at all…

it’s probably good for the soul to be a little removed from the internet for a while. i can say that because, well, i’m not! but i know how dependent i have become on it (= ridiculously) and think that somehow it can’t be quite healthy…
glad your (virtually) back with us! hurry home to be (actually) back with us!
