You just can’t make up this kind of combination, can you? But the pancakes with maple syrup part won me over and besides, it’s not every day that you get to hang out on an airport runway with planes and classic cars while eating pancakes. I have no idea who came up with the idea, but “Wings ‘n Wheels” was a fundraiser for my niece and nephew’s school band. Being the supportive aunt that I am, I went along.

My ride on the way there was my Uncle Jack’s 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire. This car was my grandfather’s and I can remember sitting in the backseat in the ’70s and even though I was small, thinking that this was one cool car. And it truly is – just check out that red interior below and the gorgeous black and chrome exterior above.

We were hanging out on the runway of the Wright Brother’s Airport in Springboro, Ohio and there were other classic cars and planes and even a replica of the 1911 Wright B Flyer. I entered a raffle to win a ride on the plane, but I haven’t been called yet. I am sure it will happen soon.

The Starfire looks as good as new, especially its interior. Thanks for sharing.
