Change of season

in Stockholm,Travels

At Slussen, lookign from Södermalm toward Gamla Stan.

The view from Slussen looking toward Gamla Stan is still wintery, with icebergs on Lake Mälaren.

The season is definitely changing from winter to spring here in Stockholm, but the transition is happening slowly. There are still icebergs in the water, but the high temperature for today is predicted to be 8C or 46F, which is warmer than it has been for about a week or so. Last week, it seemed like it rained and was chilly every day. I was not happy to be wearing my winter coat again.

Götgatan flower shop

Signs of spring at a flower shop on Götgatan.

Yesterday was sunny, but today it is foggy so far. In addition to crocus, the snow drops are coming up. And my friend Debora says that the daffodils are starting to come up in her yard. It’s all getting better.
