Årstaviken rocks

On the rocks at Årstaviken, next to Tantolunden.

All feels right in the world again: I’ve been able to do my regular ride around Södermalm. I love this trail around the perimeter of the island as you have such an amazing view of the city. It goes past canals and boat harbors, through parks and alongside all sorts of interesting outdoor cafes, including an old wooden ship that’s been made into a Thai restaurant (Thai Boat) and a place where you can grill your own steak (Nyfiken Gull). You even pass palm trees, albeit fake ones, on the jetty for Loopen, yet another cool cafe on the water.

You’ll see giant cruise ships heading out into the Baltic for other countries and ferry boats heading to different islands in Stockholm. And there are always, always all sorts of interesting characters on foot, bike and moped.

Ah, spring! I feel so lucky to live in such a gorgeous city.
