Yesterday, I went to the Hötorget farmer’s market with some friends. I had bought some amazingly good strawberries and corn on the cob there as I was passing by on Monday and wanted more. We got there early enough in the morning that the market was relatively empty, so we had our pick of the produce – and unfortunately, the undivided attention of the hawkers as well!
Swedish kantareller or chanterelle mushrooms were everywhere, so all the sellers were trying to entice us to their stands with offers of “halva priset” or half price. I gave in and bought some and cooked them last night with olive oil, garlic and spring onions. They were very, very, good.

I miss that market! It was always an adventure. I can still hear them saying “halva priset!”
Your kantareller seem to nicely pair with Robert’s orange sunset…
You are too funny Kezia.
