Holiday lights on Kungsgatan, without people.

And with people. Photos by Robert Corkery, 2011.

Over the weekend, we walked around town to check out some of the holiday markets and lights. Everything is so pretty right now. I’ll post more of the shots we took in the coming days, but I’ll start here with two photos of the lights on Kungsgatan. I like the white “waterfall” of lights over the bridge and the effect that perspective gives to the rows of blue lights.

And like the big holiday geek that I am, I keep singing Silver Bells: “City sidewalks, busy sidewalks dressed in holiday style….It’s Christmas time in the city.”
