The light at the end of the tunnel

in Stockholm,Travels

After a summer and autumn of being pissed off about our living situation and all kinds of cancelled travel plans, I am beginning to feel like I am coming out of  the storm clouds. In addition to being booted from our apartment, having to live in a temporary place and putting our stuff into storage, we cancelled our summer travel plans to find a new place to live. In July, we were going to rent a car and drive around Europe after a wedding in Germany. This trip was something we had wanted to do for a long time, so I was particularly frustrated by this loss.

My trip to the US was kept to just a few days because we needed to pack and move. And plans to visit friends in Dublin, Helsinki and the south of France, to name just a few – were put on a maybe later status. I was feeling mighty sorry for myself. But I am done with that. Now that we are making our way through the boxes and getting settled, I can work more easily in my office again. And I can also begin thinking about where to travel to next. For me, that is indeed a pleasure. Anyone know of some good travel bargains?

So are you in a permanent apartment now, or still a temp?

Hi Sharon,
It’s a rental! But we have our furniture and belongings back from storage.

Sandra, Just reading about your cancelled plans, your moving ickiness, your frustration with oh, just everything, made me feel for you. But, now that you’re on the upside of the tempest, consider a trip to Denver. We have sunshine, a cozy guest room and bath, Travis’ wine cellar, and Suellen’s cooking and tour guiding. Talk about a travel bargain……
Missing you, Suellen

Suellen,
Your offer sounds fantastic. Denver is one of my favorite US cities and I just may take you up on that. Thanks for the comments.
