One of the things I love about Stockholm is how good the locals are at seizing the day. Yesterday, the sun was shining brightly. And I’m pretty sure that it was the warmest day that we’ve had in a good five months or so – it got up to 7 degrees c.What that all meant is that people were out. Walkers, runners and baby carriages were everywhere and also a good number of bicyclists. But most of all, people were soaking up the sun, sitting and standing with faces lifted up so as to absorb as much warmth as possible.
Robert and I even had fika outside – he had coffee, I had tea and we split a a pastry. We were at the hostel af Chapman on Skeppsholmen outside on board the ship.

We were out on Skeppsholmen too! Sorry we missed you! Yesterday was indeed a beauty.

Oh, it is supposed to be spring now? That’s kind of hilarious, since all I see out my windows is white still.
Antropologa, It’s hard to believe I know, but yes it’s spring! Perhaps just by the calendar page though…
Hej Jodi,
We were at the Moderna briefly, but mostly we were wandering around in the sun. Too bad our paths didn’t cross!
Yes, it doesn’t take much to bring out the Swedes! We also walked the entire length of Kungsholmen on Saturday battling tons of people, baby carriages and dogs! When we were in Tromsö (northern Norway) two summers ago, we experienced a “heat wave” – it got up to 15 C – and people were outside sitting everywhere – many laying down on the street just soaking up the sun.
