The end of the holiday

in Cincinnati: my hometown,Living abroad

Last week in Cincinnati, we had snow. This week, temperatures are heading up to 60 degrees F (15.6 C).

I am heading back to Stockholm today after three weeks in the US. As with any trip here, my time was packed with family activities and meeting up with friends. Together with that, there were all sorts of Christmas-related events and I had to get quite a lot of work done too.

Somehow, I don’t feel like I got the rest I would have liked. But that’s the way it often feels when we travel home, whether it’s to my home in the US or Robert’s in Australia. There’s never enough time. While I didn’t get to see everyone I wanted to, I did get in a nice visit with many and I am grateful for that.

By the way, my flight path is an extended one: Cincinnati to Washington to Copenhagen to Stockholm. So it will be a journey. Wish me luck in meeting all those connections!

Great seeing you, my friend — and good luck with all those connections!

Wonderful to see you too Bryn. And thanks for that. When I have connections like that, I just expect something will go wrong. And if nothing does, it’s a pleasant surprise!
