Oh Sydney, you are beautiful. Every time I see you, I’m hit again by what a gorgeous city you are. We got into town on Friday night and quickly headed down to the waterfront for dinner at Walsh Bay. We ate tapas at Firefly and thoroughly enjoyed the meal – especially the cerviche and salad – and service. (See Firefly.) Then we walked to Circular Quay. It was hot, but a lot of people were still out. As we wandered, we could hear Sting singing King of Pain. It sounded live. It was. He was playing outside by the Opera House. It seemed like a perfect welcome back to my favorite city.
Sydney!

Sydney remains a favorite beautiful city of ours. When we were there, Doug had already lived in Stockholm for a year and I had not yet been there, and he said, wow, Sydney, rivals Stockholm for beauty! I would say for eye-popping beauty from one vantage point, my top 3 are Sydney, Stockholm and Rio de Janiero. How lucky am I to have been in all 3 gorgeous cities?! I hope we can rendezvous in Sydney with you and Robert some day!!!!
Jodi: we are lucky indeed!
