Swapping winter for summer

Tomorrow evening, we will leave Swedish winter behind and be on our way to summer in Australia. While I will actually miss the snow, here’s what I will not miss: all the layers of winter clothing, including sweaters, coats, scarves, gloves, hats and boots. I will also not miss the sand/gravel mix that is put down on Stockholm sidewalks and then stays stuck to your boots, leaving them dirty and your house with a layer of the stuff, even though you diligently leave your boots by the front door. Finally, I will not miss the short winter days. Hej då winter. See you again in March!
