While thunderstorms tend to be rare in Stockholm, rain showers with sunshine are typical of Swedish summer. The combination creates a brilliant light in the sky and rainbows often occur too. Typically, there’s a light and steady downpour that stops after 10 minutes or so. So when it started raining on Sunday while we were eating dinner outside, we just put up our umbrellas and kept eating. Most of the other diners did the same.

I have never seen so many rainbows as I have in Sweden. Full ones, too, and even double rainbows!
