Streets of Stockholm

karlavagen

Along Karlavägen. While the grass is still green, the leaves are starting to come down.

I’ve been living in Stockholm for seven years now.  But I still clearly remember the day we arrived. We took a taxi from the airport into the center of town toward our new home. After stopping at Robert’s office to get the keys to our apartment, we drove down Karlavägen. It was a broad avenue with a treelined walkway in the middle of it. The esplanade reminded me of Paris and I thought it was charming. Now seven years later, I live just minutes away from this beautiful street.

Karlaplan

The walkway along Karlavägen meets up with the fountain at Karlaplan.

If I ever had to live in a city again, I think I could manage that street!

It’s very quiet and does not feel at all like a busy city street, Jane.

So, do you have the 7 year itch? 🙂

Always nice to take a moment and reflect. You do live in a beautiful city — love the photos!

No more Södermalm?! 😉

No Liz, it’s Vasastan now. It seems strange. Did I see that you’re moving too?

Good question Kezia. Maybe. Someone else asked me that too! And yes, it is a beautiful clean, green city.
