The Diplomat and Esplanade buildings are my favorites along Strandvägen. Photos by Robert Corkery.

On Friday after work, Robert and I cycled around town, stopping on Strandvägen for a drink at Happy to watch the tourists stream by. Strandvägen – literally beach road – is a boulevard along the water in central Stockholm and is considered one of the most exclusive addresses in town. So I guess it goes without saying that there are some beautiful buildings – the Diplomat has always been one of my favorites – on the street. The classic art nouveau building was one of the first along the street and is 100 years old this year. It’s so stately and stylish, don’t you think?
