Gamla Stan. Photos by Robert Corkery.

gamla stan

Carl Milles' Vingarna (Wings) sculpture.

While there’s not much light this time of year, the light that there is tends to be soft as the sun never gets very high in the sky. Thus sunsets look like they’ve been airbrushed over with beautiful pinks. By the way, both shots here were taken on Monday and the view is over the Baltic toward Gamla Stan from Blasieholmen, in front of the National Museum.

Outstanding shots. Permission to use that swipe of pink sky in my next painting.

Permission granted, oh creative friend! We were thinking of Turner on our way to the Moderna show.
