Starbucks in Stockholm

in Stockholm,Travels

This week, it was announced that the first Starbucks in Sweden will be opened at Arlanda Airport. I could not help but feel a bit sad that yet another US chain is invading. Now I  admit that I am not a coffee drinker, so maybe I just don’t understand the need and passion for Starbucks. But I do know that there are already several Swedish coffee chains, so maybe I am just not feeling the need for yet another.

All that said, I have been in Starbucks before and they do make some good muffins and tea. I seem to remember that their sandwiches aren’t bad either. Maybe they could teach Waynes and Roberts a thing or too about making a more interesting sandwich. And they could also learn how to create and market those groovy Starbucks CD mixes. Ah, selling music at a coffee shop…American marketing at its most entertaining.

Selling music? As in getting money for a piece of plastic? 🙂
