Last night, I was out with my friend Zanne for dinner. There were several places on and around Kungstensgatan that she thought would be fun for me to try, so we headed out. All of them were quiet and since we wanted a bit more of a lively atmosphere, we moved on. Noticing a crowd at Bon Bon, we went in there to check it out. Everyone looked at us when we went in as if we were invading a private party and we soon found out why: this place does seatings and we would need to wait about 45 minutes before we could actually have a table. Never mind.
So we moved on. It was beginning to feel like we were eating at Max Burger. But we persevered and at last ended up at Buco Nero. And it was good. We split a pappardelle alla bolognese con chingiale e tartufo, a flavorful combination of wild boar, tomato, Spanish pepper, garlic, truffel, cloves, juniper and chocolate that was amazingly good. And we also tried the tagliatelle con Callinacci e pancetta which had chanterelle and portabello mushrooms, pancetta, white wine and fresh herbs. We also gave this dish a thumbs up, but tried a sample of the risotto of the day and were disappointed. See more of their menu at Cafe Nero.
