Rainy days & rainbows

In the 30 seconds it took to get my camera, yesterday's rainbow was already fading.

Since Sunday, it’s felt like we’re transitioning to a new season. I hope not. I’m not ready for autumn yet and I plan to resist it with kicking and screaming. Or maybe not. But I will say that it’s been much cooler. And it’s been raining every day – a straight-down intense rain that’s actually quite nice if you don’t have to be out in it. Except for Sunday, the rain showers are followed up by sun and thus we’ve been seeing lots of rainbows. The one in the photo above was a full one with intense colors that faded as soon as I got my camera and hung out the dining room window for the photo. Oh well.

By the way, is it just me or does the title of this blog remind you of a Carpenter’s song?

My mom arrived from the US today, and it totally seems like fall already. Poor thing will never see Sweden in the summer!

Ran across snow gloves in a drawer today looking for a jacket. TOTALLY DEPRESSING. Not ready to deal with those things again!

Oh, it is so depressing, isn’t it? It’s sunny here now. For the moment, at least. Enjoy your visit.

Lovely blog you have and I so want to move to Stockholm…I could not imagine being so close to such lovely things and enjoying the social life, also!

Thanks Gina – I appreciate your kind words. I take it you are living in Sweden, but not in Stockholm?
