To me, as it is to most Stockholmers, Djurgården is the green island. It’s the Central Park of this city – the place where you go to walk, run, ride, picnic and enjoy nature. It’s also the location for a lot of boat harbors. In the photo here, I love the juxtaposition of the beautiful tangle of boat masts in the foreground with the Statoil tanks of Nacka in the background.

By the way, this spot is also the scene of my crash on Sunday – I flipped over the handlebars of my bicycle in spectacular fashion. Luckily, the accident was more embarrassing than damaging and all my wounds are healing nicely.
