There's no fighting the crowds on the beach.

In fact, you can have your very own beach.

Being in a holiday spot in the off season is a curious thing. On the one hand, I feel like I have a special deal – especially since we’re having spectacular summer weather and there are no crowds at the beach, bars or restaurants. Getting a table is no problem. I feel like I’m in on the best secret.

My chair by the sea awaits.

But on the other hand, I also feel a bit left out, like I’m missing the real vibe of Primošten as so many of the shops, restaurants and souvenir stands are closed for the season. Overall though, I don’t feel like I’m missing out on a heckuva lot.

Many of the cafes are closing for the season.

Sometimes the offseason is best to get a real appreciation of a location and the locals, when there’s more time to talk and connect.

Cheers, Tee
