Oh my, I am loving the sunny days right now. Coming out of the long Stockholm winter, there’s just nothing better than the rapid switch from dark to light. Winter is slowly stepping out the door. And I do mean slowly. There’s still a lot of snow out there, as you can see in the photo below taken on Skeppsholmen, also on Sunday.
I have to admit that I’ve been jealous of many friends in more southern parts of the northern hemisphere who have been describing flowers in bloom and warm weather. Winter is still hanging on here. But the amount of daylight is changing rapidly, as you can see from today’s sunrise and sunset times, as shown on the SMHI website. Basically, it translates to meaning that the sun was up at 5.44 this morning, which is 21 minutes earlier than it was last week. The sun will set at 18.05, or 17 minutes later than last week. That’s a nice long day and it will only get longer.
