The birds have it wrong. They have been happily chirping away, acting like it is spring. But there is no way you can call this spring. It’s -7c and it’s snowing.
So go back wherever you came from birds. It’s still winter here. The way it’s going, I think there will still be snow here in June. We’ll be in touch.

STILL, really? Wow. I’ll be moving to Sweden in seven weeks. It damn well better be spring by THEN!
Antropologa – don’t hold your breath! Weather in this country is very unpredictable. The first year I celebrated the “official” coming of spring on April 30 – with bonfires, singing, and fireworks – it snowed! My first midsommar celebration – it hailed! We’ve had summers that simply rained away, but also wonderful summers with real heat waves. The snow, to be fair, has been beautiful this year, despite the travel upheavals. One thing is for sure – it’s never boring here!
Antropologa: As Sharon said, you never know about the weather here. But I do certainly believe and hope that the snow will be gone by June! You will be fine – you will just learn to complain and laugh like we all do!
I love this story Sharon. Ah, Sweden!
And I am still loving the snow, I have to say.
