The very friendly fish & chips guys.

From the time we left, we all said we needed fish and chips in Dublin. First thing. So on Saturday for lunch, Zanne, Kathy and I headed straight to Leo Burdock Traditional Fish & Chips on Werburgh Street.

Even though it was late on a Saturday afternoon, it was still busy. But not so busy that the guys working in the shop couldn’t take time to chat and pose for a picture or two.

As Burdock’s is a traditional carry-out shop, we needed to find somewhere to eat. Though it was gray and rather chilly, we took our lunch to St Patrick’s Park and ate it on a bench there.  And oh my, that was the best fish & chips that I’ve had in a long time. It almost made me forget the cold.

This was a worth the search – a massive piece of fish and possibly the best chips I’ve had with just the right amount of vinegar! Just what we needed after a late night out. The picnic in the park was unforgettable – (apart from the cold) we were surrounded by beautiful flowers and greenery as well as Zanne being ambused by a crazy little puppy 🙂

It was definitely worth the search Kathy! Thanks for mapping it out for us.
