Last night, we went to foodie heaven – Det Goda Köket. Basically, it was a huge food and beverage show at the exhibition center in Älvsjö. We went with our friends Zanne and Micah and straight away got our glasses so we could taste wines from around the world, including Italy, Spain, France, Australia and New Zealand. Our friend Marie-Louise was working at the Jacob’s Creek booth, so we stopped by there as well.
For every holiday season, Blossa creates a new flavor of glögg and that was also there to sample. But while the 2010 glögg has a flashy gold bottle, it’s flavored with saffron, so it was not so appealing to me. I’ve just never quite developed the taste for saffron. There are also beers, whiskeys and other beverages to taste, but we stuck with the champagne and wine route.
And we also tried chili lime salmon, kettle chips, chocolate tarts, pizza, a veggie stir fry, cheese and more. It was a tasty evening and if you are a foodie too, I would recommend checking out the show as it goes through Sunday and was a lot of fun. Get more details at: det goda koket.
