Yesterday, we were bicycling through Gärdet on the way to Djurgården when we saw a Viking ship in the sky. No, we had not been drinking cocktails in the sun. Really. It was early in the afternoon, after all. But we had come across Drakfest på Gärdet and a kite festival was going on. Thus there was a huge Viking kite flying in the sky, along with about 25 or so other kites of all sorts of shapes and sizes. Robert couldn’t resist participating and went home to get his Wright flier – a kite replica of the Wright brothers plane that flew at Kitty Hawk. (Robert has his private pilot’s license and loves all things aeronautical.) By the time we returned, the show was wrapping up. But there were still a handful of kites in the sky, so Robert did get to join in at least. He was happy about that. And I was happy to just hang out in the sunshine.

Well that’s the last thing you would expect to see up in the sky… but then again, this is Sweden 🙂

Lou Lou, That big ship was certainly a funny sight.
