Margaritas – ole'!
I’m still on a food happy from Amsterdam last week. There were so many good things to eat and drink and there was such a huge variety of choices. We even found a good Mexican restaurant – Los Pilones Cantina Mexicana – where we had tacos and enchiladas and excellent margaritas. The food was authentic – muy delicioso – and the atmosphere was fun.
Mini puff pancakes – poffertjes met boter en poedersuiker – at Cafe Kalkhoven.
And we had the most amzing little melt in your mouth puff pancakes at Cafe Kalkhoven. My mouth is watering just thinking about them even now. I think I need to track down a recipe for them.
Vedett and Orval were two of the Belgian beers we tried and liked.
And of course, we had to try the beer. Although we didn’t do the Heineken tour, we did try local brews as well as tasty Belgian beers.
