Djurgården “winter” walk

in Stockholm weather, what to see in Stockholm

frozen djurgarden

The brilliant sunlight made the frozen marshy area along Djurgårdsbrunnskanalen look stunning.

I took one of my favorite walks with MB this morning on Djurgården and the wind was so cold that by the time we were done, I swear that several parts of my body were frozen. It even snowed. Again. It was brief. But still.

At least it’s a beautifully sunny day. But I have to say that Stockholm is just lucky that it’s so pretty. Otherwise, I would not be inclined to put up with this crap winter weather for even one more day. All complaints aside, it’s well worth taking a walk along the canal on Djurgården just now. The frozen views are worth the freezing temperatures.

Still further proof that winter has not left.
