As I was walking home tonight, I saw a deer on my street. The road was empty as it is street cleaning night, so there were no cars or people around. All was quiet. I was so surprised, I stopped and stared. And the deer stared back. But before I could get my camera out, it had wandered into some bushes. I could just see the deer making its way through the underbrush and I followed it for a bit along the sidewalk.
Living in the center of Stockholm, I never would have guessed that I would see a deer here. Granted, my street is a quiet one and there is a park around it, but I still thought it was rather amazing and beautiful – the only other “wildlife” I see are my neighbors cats and dogs!
