Weather forecasters predicted that a big snow would arrive in Cincinnati in the early hours this morning. Based on this, schools were closed or delayed last night as were various businesses and special programs. Since when are things closed at the mere forecast of snow? The snow did not actually start falling until around 10 this morning and as of 12.30, it is still just lightly falling.
Which leaves me to draw just one conclusion: Cincinnati is a snow wimp. When I left Stockholm, there was more than 2 feet of snow on the ground. Nothing was closed down or stopped as a result. People live with the snow, drive in it and deal with it. Maybe Cincinnati should take a snow course in Stockholm.

Being that I’m also from Cincinnati, I couldn’t agree with you more Sandra. Cincinnati loves to feed local news even when nothing has happened yet. I must admit that I was a snow wimp a one time 🙂 and you probably were too 🙂
In what’s clearly a case of “the other man’s grass is always greener”, we’re looking for cooler temps in Sydney. It’s midnight and 30 degrees celcius.
Thanks James. I must say that I would LOVE to have your weather right now!
Too funny Maria! The snow did eventually come to Cincy….
