Bowling and burgers

On Friday night, we went to check out Marion’s Gastro Diner with a group of friends. I mentioned Marion’s recently in another post about gastro diners, but this was my first visit. First we had dinner in the restaurant, designed to look like an American diner circa 1950, complete with neon signs. Even the menus match the theme – they look like a Betty Crocker cookbook from that era. Dinner choices include such all-American 1950s options as Maine Lobster, BBQ Baby back ribs, steaks and surf and turf. Desserts are banana splits, sundaes and milk shakes.

The food was good, basic American diner food. And the service was excellent. But the best part of Marion’s is the bowling. The music is fun and most people – including us – were dancing as they bowled. It’s definitely a fun place to hang on a Friday evening with friends. Check it out here: Marion’s.
