As we had dinner two nights ago, a big and gorgeous yacht glided by, immediately followed by a group of three kayaks and then a sailboat. This time of year, there is a regular parade of boats of all sorts and sizes going by on Lake Mälaren, from huge seafaring type tankers and homemade houseboats to wooden rowboats with mini sails. My favorites are the mahogany racing boats from the 1950s. They are still so stylishly sleek and cool. I like to think that I would look cool driving one of them along the Baltic canals along Djugården. Maybe next season?
