Driving in northern Ohio this weekend, I was struck by the simple beauty of the flat landscape. Maybe it was a case of absence makes the heart grow fonder, but the stripped bare fields along route 6 seemed to be strikingly picturesque to me. Or maybe it was just the contrast. Living in the center of Stockholm, I seldom see the wide open spaces of a rural landscape. I love the city, but sometimes I feel hemmed in. Along the backroads of Ohio, it felt like I could breathe and relax. Or maybe it was just because I was back in my home state and it all felt familiar, like I was reconnecting to a part of the world I had not been in for years.

Nice photos Sandra!
Thanks Maria. I am loving my new camera!
Beautiful landscape sandy, I guess I have to put Ohio on my travel plan 🙂
Roger: Ohio is not so bad! We will take you there sometime for a special tour. Maybe we need to do each of our hometowns…we live in yours, we went to Nici’s last summer…..
