In one week, it feels like we moved full-speed ahead into autumn. Stockholmers are wearing winter coats, hats and gloves the last few days. I couldn’t bare to put on my winter coat yet, but I did put on gloves. And I have to say that summer is definitely a distant memory at this point.

While I did not get to do everything that I hoped to this summer–aren’t there always regrets for the things we didn’t get to do–I did have a wonderful summer. Especially since it actually felt like summer here. So that makes it easier to segue to autumn.

After a busy week that was spent mostly indoors thanks to lots of rain, by Saturday I felt like I had to get outside. In between showers, we went to Rosendals Trädgård, a beautiufl garden, greenhouse, cafe and plant store on Djurgården. The leaves on the trees are starting to change to shades of yellow and red, the orchard was full of ready-to-pick apples and the gourds and pumpkins are delicious shades of orange.

Stockholm I love the “warty” shape of the purple gourd.
