Somewhere between the polar vortex and spring

in Cincinnati: my hometown

Cincinnati The polar vortex view from my parent’s house.

My hometown has always been a bit wacky in terms of weather. At the beginning of the week, we were lost somewhere in the “polar vortex” with temperatures well below zero. Now today, it was 52F ( 11C) at the start of the day. Most of the snow melted. By late afternoon, it was 42F (5.5C) and chilly. (By the way: Every time I hear the “polar vortex” term to describe the weather, I have to laugh.)

Crazy weather aside, it always feels good to see Cincinnati with fresh eyes. We’ve been out and about, enjoying the sunshine as well as the snow.

Cincinnati The Cincinnati Observatory is just around the corner from my old house. We used to walk our dog here.

Thanks Lou Lou. It was so good to be home and I do mean that both literally and figuratively!
