Outside the Queen of Tarts.

From the first I heard the name of this pastry shop and cafe in Dublin, I knew it would be my kind of place. The Queen of Tarts is just about perfect, from its cheeky name and charming decor to its friendly atmosphere and really yummy pastries.

Maria, Kathy and I stopped at the Queen of Tarts for afternoon tea. And we decided we “had” to have scones too. I had the chocolate and they had the raspberry. Oh yeah they were mouth-wateringly good. The tea was served in a pot and poured in a pretty china cup. While the inside of the cafe was as cute as could be, we wanted to catch the last warmth of the day and so sat outside. I want to go back the next time I’m in Dublin–that breakfast menu looked pretty tempting.

Check out the Queen of Tarts website for more info about the menu and location.

I kind of wish that I had gotten one of these very cute mugs.
